Supported by four decades of professional excellence in the arts, Nancy L. Yang is the former president of the Pastel Association of Taiwan, an elected member of Allied Artists in America and a member of Audubon Artists, Inc. Additionally, she is proudly affiliated with the Pastel Society of Spain, the Pastel Society of America and the North America Pastel Artists Association. At the beginning of her career, Ms. Yang has found success through her work with the State University of New York at Purchase, where she had worked as an analyst and the director.
An expert in her field, Ms. Yang pursued an education at the University of California Berkeley, earning a bachelor’s degree in 1970. She concluded her studies at the aforementioned academic institute in 1971, graduating with a master’s degree. Although her career has been filled with highlights, she is especially proud of heading the 2014 and 2017 International Invitational Pastel Exhibitions in Taiwan, and receiving her first international award from ASPAS in 2011. Over the years, Ms. Yang has accepted a plethora of accolades for her work, including a Silver Award, Richard Pionk Memorial Award, Artemiranda Award and the J. Smith Memorial Award. For her professional accomplishments, she was presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. Likewise, she has been selected for inclusion in Who’s Who in America. Looking toward the future, she intends to experience the continued success of her career.
